Helicopter Annual Conference and Trade Show

Sometimes things take time ... but are well worth the wait

Stoked to be heading to the Annual Helicopter Association of Canada Trade Show in Vancouver this weekend with Aero Design and the AStar Helicopter Bike Rack.

It's one of the cooler technological advancements for our sport and I'm stoked to see where this allows our mountain bikes to go ...

If you're a helicopter company, media / athlete / industry seeing how this can enhance a project or event or a bike park or heli ski operator looking to expand -  contact me - come by - etc.

Along with direct sales, lbbikes will have a complete set up available for the AS350.

This project has been on the works for awhile and it's closer than ever.  It's in it's final stages of the Transport Canada - Canadian Supplemental Type Certification (STC).  This STC allows it to be mounted on any Canadian Eurocopter Astar of the AS350 and AS130 class.  Transport Canada then sends the STC to the States and it will receive it's American STC, etc ...

The Canadian STC will also allow it to fly on the Canadian Registered Aircraft currently working in other Countries like the Canadian machines currently working in Chile and Peru.  The American STC gives it access to New Zealand and Australia, etc.  Other Countries will be added just like the internationally selling Aero Designs Cargo Basket (aka Heli Ski Basket).  Iceland, the EU, etc.

It's going to be interesting to see where this goes.  From efficient access for media and athlete projects, commercial helicopter bike operations to public trail maintenance and local risk managements plans, etc.
